The Final Brew

Today we finish the week with all dies. The only thing that is stamped is the sentiment on the inside. I used the beer die for the set and then colored the "liquid" with soft suede and light crumb cake, cut out of basic white. The leaves are cut out of soft succulent. The background is a piece of vellum from the 12x12 vellum set. The vellum is hard to put down because you can see the glue, seal, or any other adhesive you use through it. I put tiny glue dots on each corner to adhere to it. This card was so easy to put together. Just cut and paste. The base is basic 5.5 by 8 scored at 4.25. The sentiment is stamped in soft suede.

Below is the stamp set and the dies that come with it. This is a photopolymer set. You can die cut the foam, cut out the entire glass and add some leaves. But now is what everyone has been waiting for.

Starting today until midnight on Thursday, August 4th: Anyone who shares my Facebook group, shares my blog, or comments on my blog post (you cannot comment on the post about my blog) will receive all 3 cards that I made this week with the Brewed for You set. You can do any of the 3 things listed above with today's post and any post I make Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

I will do the drawing on Friday morning and post the winner later that day.

Brew Some More!

It's Wednesday! I wanted to show you all of the glasses and what you can do with them. The Texture Chic DSP has a piece that looks like wood and I wanted to use it to look like a table. I wanted to make it look like the table is 3D, the glasses in the front are popped up on dimensionals. Again a super easy card.

Colors used in the card crumb cake, soft suede, rococo rose, momento, basic white, and sahara sand.

Stay tuned for the raffle on Friday, July 29.

Brewed Monday!

Good Morning, happy Monday! This week we are using the Brewed for You stamp set. I wasn't sure about this stamp set. I find it hard sometimes to make masculine cards. I also want my cards to be interesting. This set is fun, you get the glasses and the liquid inside the glass, a couple sentiments, foam, and bubbles. This set does have a matching die set to go with it. The card base is on crumb cake and the DSP is the texture chic. I stamped the inside of the card and the liquid of the drink in soft suede. I also colored the glass in light pale papaya.
Later this week I will show off what the whole bundle looks likes. I am going to post a raffle by the end of the week also. It will have all the rules and what you have to do. Stay tuned for what's coming!

Sale-A-Bration is still going on for another month. Contact me with any questions.

Blessings with a POP!

This card was a little hard when placing the inside pop-up piece. I decided since the inside was popping up I would make the front simple with nothing crazy on the front. The DSP is the textured chic on merry merlot. The pop-up flower took a bit of finagling. It is sitting on a small piece of card stock that is folded twice to make an accordion. You have to make sure that when you close the card the flower won't get damaged. Coloring the flower was fun, I used dark/light real red, poppy parade, highland heather, polished pink, fresh freesia, daffodil delight and shaded spruce.

There is still time to participate in Sale-A-Bration. You have a month left to enjoy the benefits.

Final Blessings

The week is ending and we are finishing the week with 3 simple but fun cards. This first card is polished pink with handed-penned DSP. I took one of the pieces of DSP and used both sides to have the different designs. To color the flower I used dark/light poppy parade, real red, polished pink, and old olive. The inside flower is stamped in polished pink.

This card is even easier than the first one. I used blackberry bliss for the base and the first layer. Then the DSP layers are bigger and I used the two different sides. They do overlap a little in the middle. This sentiment I have such a hard time making straight when I stamp it. I did make the shape uneven on purpose and made sure that the squares wouldn't go over the sides of the DSP. I used rich razzleberry for the brushed edge of the square. The inside flower is inked with the blackberry bliss.

I am always a simple card maker. Even when I try to make a more detailed card they still come out simple. For these cards, I did do a quick sketch so I didn't sit at my desk and have no idea what I wanted to make.

There is still time to join and get the Making Plans Planner with your starter kit. The Promotion ends on July 31st.

Continued Blessings

As we continue to showcase the Blessings of Home Set and the Flowers of Home Dies. I didn't use the blends for the center image but I did use the dark blends for the little flowers on the front and inside pieces. The base is evening evergreen and the first layer is soft succulent and the Pansy Patch DSP. The flowers are basic white, then I took the darks of pumpkin pie, poppy parade, polished pink, daffodil delight, blackberry bliss, real red, and highland heather for the centers. The embossing folder I used was Painted Texture.

I used the same colors on the inside to color the pieces. Everything on the inside is basic white and the ink color for the text is evening evergreen. I don't put an extra layer under the basic white for the inside of the card so it's best to use seal to adhere it. The glue you will be able to see under the cardstock. I will only use seal if I actually have to because I have a hard time putting pieces on straight. The glue always gives you a little time to adjust the pieces.

I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the dies with the little flowers and leaves. After cutting them out on the basic white and coloring them in I liked them a lot more. I plan on using them on more cards. This set is so pretty to use.

Blessing the Week with Flowers

We are blessing this week with the Blessings of Home Stamp set and matching Flowers of Home dies. This is a rubber stamp set. I love how the flowers come out and when you color them they are beautiful. I am not the greatest colorer but I use the dark color of the blends to make the shadows then use the light color of the blends to color the rest of the image. This gives the images more depth. You don't have to color them this way, you can always just take a color and color the image.

I used the Handed-penned DSP, blushing bride for the base, and highland heather for the first layer. To color the image I used dark/ light highland heather, daffodil delight, fresh freesia, shaded spruce, pumpkin pie, and polished pink. I'm big on simple cards, only a couple layers, an image with a sentiment. I will either put the sentiment on the front or the inside.

As the week goes on I'm going to be showing more cards with this set and more stuff with Stampin' Up! If you like to craft and be creative stop by for more ideas. Chat with me and let me know what you want to know.

Pansy Patch Finale!

We end the week with a fun little off-card. Sometimes when the pieces of your card aren't perfectly straight it enhances the card without making it look like something is wrong with it. I love the color green so I used the Evening Evergreen for the base, then an extra evening evergreen layer, pool party for the layer on top of that. The back square is soft succulent and another square of pool party on the front of that. I used the matching DSP that goes with the Pansy Patch suite. The DSP on the squares is the front and back of the same sheet. The flower is Fresh Fresia and Blushing Bride with a matte gem for the center.

This set is so pretty. I really like the flower dies best. The stamps are good for the flowers but I flower looks nicer with the dies. There is so much with this set. You get all the elements of the flowers to make them more detailed and more pieces for the leaves to make them have contrast. The die pieces have the same pieces to make really fun flowers.

Tune in next week when I showcase a new stamp set.

Pansy Patch Enhancement

Today I am enhancing the Pansy Patch by using the petal dies. These are really fun to use because you can make detailed flowers with just pieces instead of stamping or coloring. I like these dies because they make the flowers look beautiful. You can also make the leaves in 2 different colors, It has 2 different pieces like the little flowers on the front. On Friday I will show a picture of the suite and all the pieces. The DSP is the new gold and silver set from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. It is free with a purchase.

Enter the Pansy Patch, Monday Start

This week we are starting off simple with the Pansy Patch. I used the dies to cut out the flowers from the DSP that goes with the suite. There are only 2 layers, cardstock, and DSP then the flowers and the sentiment. Little gemstones to make it more fun. When you don't know what to make starting off simple is a great way to start. As the week goes on I am going to make more detailed cards so you can see what you can do with all the dies and paper.

We are still in July when you join Stampin' Up! you will get the Making Plans Planner ($45 value) and $125 worth of products for $99. It's such a wonderful time to start.

End of the Week Celebration

Today we had to learn as we go. The vellum sheet that I used for this card is quite the learning curve. Because of the material, you can't use dimensional or glue. I was thinking "Ok, snail should work just fine." I was wrong. You can see the snail through the vellum. I decided to use a ribbon to cover up the fact that you can see the tape. I was given the tip for next time to put the tape behind where I put the sentiment and the flowers. Sometimes your cards don't come out the way you envisioned but sometimes you got to roll with the punches.

This month is still a great time to join Stampin' Up! whether to enjoy a discount on your hobby or make a business. You also get a free gift. You get the making plans planner at a $45 value along with your $125 worth of products, all for $99. Ask me how!

Celebrate New July!

This week I'm using the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle and some new DSP from the Sale-A-Bration catalog, and Annual catalog. The sunflowers are pretty. I love the detail you can use to make the coloring look real.

The first card, I used the Textured DSP from the new catalog that matches perfectly with pool party and soft succulent cardstock. I used the sprig dies for the leaves under the flower, cut a long piece of ribbon, continuously tied bows then used glue dots to connect them. The little embellishments are the matted gems.

The second card is even simpler. I didn't color anything. I stamped the flower on a piece of vellum. When using vellum to stamp, you must be careful because the ink takes a very long time to dry. I waited several minutes before I die-cut the sunflower out. You have to use tear and tape or snail on the back of the vellum otherwise, you will see the glue or the dimensionals. When I put the snail on the back, several minutes after die-cutting it, there was still a little bit of ink on the paper on my desk. It didn't smear the image. The DSP on the back is the brushstroke. This paper is so shimmery and so pretty. It comes in a dark navy blue, pink, and green color that matches the soft succulent.

A little Cheesy Sale-A-Bration

The DSP on this card is from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. This month I'll be showcasing new stamps and DSP from the annual and sale-a-bration catalogs. The "A little Cheesy" set is cute, I like the pudding, cookie, cheese, and glass of wine that comes in this set. Cards made with this set will be more whimsical instead of elegant.
