Happy Monday Queen Bees

This week I am using the Queen Bee bundle with the Dainty Flowers DSP. I used Basic White and Old Olive cardstock. I stamped the front with Highland Heather and I colored the flowers on the bee with many colors, light for all, Highland Heather, Fresh Freesia, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Blackberry Bliss, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red and Polished Pink. The dies that come with the set has a little tag die that I used on the words and I used the bee die to cut out the bee.

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 inches scored at 5 1/2 inches. The first layer of Old Olive is 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches. The DSP layer is 4 x 4 7/8 inches. The inside Old Olive layer is the same as the front layer of Old Olive. The basic white layer is 4 x 5 1/4 inches. The flowers stamped on the inside are stamped in Momento.

I really like the DSP for this card. Ill show the other side on Wednesday. I am going to add rhinestone embellishments to the card that I didn't do before I took the picture. The card is so simple but fun to make. I really liked coloring the bee.

Happy crafting!

Ending the Week with Friendly Gnomes

This week we are ending the week with Pool Party Friendly Gnome card and a special card for a sick little girl in Kentucky. The Dandy Designs DSP that you can get from the Sale-A-Bration catalog is awesome. It has awesome designs on the paper with a variety of color plus you get 48 sheets instead of 12. These little gnomes are just so cute and I love the little bird and squirrel.

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 inches scored at 5 1/2 inches. The first layer is 1/8 of an inch shorter on every side. The DSP is 2 x 4 inches each, it's 1 piece and I just used both sides. The Basic White layer is 2 1/2 x 4 inches. Inside the first layer is 1/8 of an inch shorter around and the Basic White layer is 5 1/4 x 4 inches.  Everything is stamped in Momento but the little stamps of grass are stamped in Pear Pizzazz. I colored in Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Seaside Spray, Highland Heather, Smokey Slate, Pale Papaya, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Old Olive, and Bermuda Bay.

The card below is a special card I made for a sick little girl in Kentucky. She has been fighting for her life and she's turning 1 on Monday. I hope the card makes it there on time but if not she will get it a little later.

More Friendly Gnomes

We continue the week with the other side of the DSP and Friendly Gnome of love. With a Fresh Freesia base, Basic White for the first layer and the inside. I really like these little gnomes. They are so cute and so happy. You can do so much with them, birthdays, love and just happy notes to people.

My cards always become really simple. I think about it for a while but I always end up with something simple. I use the same base, first and second layer measurements that I used Monday. The Basic White layer is 2 3/4 x 4 inches.

There is still time to get free product with Sale-A-Bration and to get free product you can go to my Shop, look at the new mini catalog and the annual catalog for such awesome new stuff.

Friendly Gnome Monday

Happy Monday! We are going to see how we can use the Friendly Gnomes. Today we are using the flowery gnome and using the Dandy Designs DSP from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. All the colors in the DSP set are so much fun. I really liked the purple and used Fresh Freesia and Purple Posy (which isn't available anymore). I used the Purple posy even though its not available but I have a full pack of cardstock of it. You can use all Fresh Freesia or mix with Highland Heather. I used the Fresh Freesia for the base and the first layer is the Purple Posy.

The base is 5 1/2 inches by 8 1/2 inches scored at 4 1/4 inches. The first layer is an 1/8 of an inch shorter on all sides. The DSP is 4 x 1 1/2 inches. When placing the DSP I just eyeballed it and tried to get them even. The Basic White layer is 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. I stamped in Momento and Pear Pizzazz. I used light and dark fresh freesia, light and dark highland heather, light pale papaya, light daffodil delight, light smokey grey and light crumb cake all to color the gnome.

Playing in the Rain with Daffodil Delight

We are finishing the week with more Playing in the Rain. I liked the back of the piece of DSP with umbrellas on it. I wanted to colors to coordinate and the daffodil delight cardstock looked so nice with the orange in the DSP. You don't need sentiments for cards all the time either. I love the clouds and the rain, the turtle is my favorite. You can make so many different simple cards with this set. It has so much diversity in it. There are so many other DSP sheets that can make even more cards.

There is still time to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration until the end of February. Also if you want to get a really awesome deal if you Join my team during this time, this is the best time to do it. Playing with Monochrome!

Today we are playing with monochrome Pear Pizzazz. The base and ink are Pear Pizzazz. Its stamped on Basic White. I used the blended brushes to just put a little color in the center of the layer. You can make it look better if you use masking tape to make a perfect shape but I didn't have any at the time I made the card. I liked the imperfection of the blending. I made a couple mistakes, I rocked the stamp and got ink in the wrong places.

This is another simple but happy card. I personally love the rain and you don't need to use DSP to make a card that is nice. Very basic base 4 1/4 inch x 11 1/2 inch scored and 5 1/2 inch, vertical open. The end of the week we are going to make a more elaborate card with this set.

Sale-A-Bration is still going on until the end of February and there is a great deal if you want to turn a hobby into a business or benefit with discounts for being a demonstrator.

Contact me if you want to find out more.

Playing with Umbrellas!

Continuing with the Playing in the Rain Suite, I used the same colors as Friday, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz and Basic White cardstock. I was going through the DSP for the set and all of the designs are really pretty. I have been concentrating on one side of the DSP. I will use the other side during the week.

I always end up with really simple cards. I used the double oval punch and I didn't want just a stark white oval on the front so I just used my blending brush to add a little color to the paper. The ink color is Pear Pizzazz for every stamp. The bow is the ribbon from the Country Bouquet Suite. The DSP also has a shimmery technique in the paper.

This set is so fun and so cute. The little characters are so fun and just make you so happy. I love the rain so I was pulled to this set instantly. If you got this suite you can get a free item from Sale-A-Bration.

Playing in the Rain

This coming week I am going to create with the Playing in the Rain Suite. For this card I used Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight and Basic White cardstock with a piece of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) on top. I just layered them all together. The pieces that are on top are popped up with dimensionals.

Cards don't have to be complicated. I am trying to get into a groove of creating consistently and one way I am doing that is using 1 stamp set per week as to not make it too complicated. Also when you do that you can see all the different things you can do with the set. Most of the time when I create the cards I make come out so simple. This coming week I am going to show you more of the DSP that comes with this set which is really lovely paper and show more things that you can do with the set. Its fun and cute and turtles are my favorite.
Happy Crafting! Come back on Monday to see what else you can do with this set!
