New Stamps

So I made my preorder from the new annual catalog. It was so much fun using the new stamps and paper that is coming out. I used the Host Soft Spring stamp set, Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper, Forever Greenery Paper DSP, Old World Paper 3D embossing folder, Sunflowers Dies, Celebrate Sunflowers cling stamp set. I used the Misty Moonlight paper from the new In Color 20-22 cardstock collection.

With the embossing of the papers for each card I stamped it first and then ran it through the embossing folder. The pedals of the flowers are stickers and to get them to not stick only the center I used a little baby powder on the back to get rid of the stickiness.

May Paper Pumpkin

I didn't follow the instructions that came with the Paper Pumpkin, which is what makes the Paper Pumpkin so fun. You get all the pieces and you can just mix and match. It is also great because it works with every budget. Comment if you would like to know more.

Baby

With the increase of babies being born and the ones that will be born later this year I wanted to make a welcome to the world card. I used the birthday bananza, coastal cabana, very vanilla and bermuda bay paper. The Time for Tags and the Wildly Happy stamp sets.

May Paper Pumpkin Unboxing

Today I got my May Paper Pumpkin. I thought it would be nice to show all the elements you get in your Paper Pumpkin.

This is the box for that it came in, so bright and perfect for spring.

When you first open it, this is what you will find.

Then you get to the rest of the elements of the set.

You get a misty moonlight ink pad. I love when you get ink with the sets because its a simple way to add to your collection.

Then you get this small but great set of happy stamps. Its such an uplifting stamp set to have in times like this.

You get these star accents to embellish your cards.

You get these card sets. The one on the right is purple but I couldn't get the real color. They are different sizes and they go with the.....

Different sized envelopes.

You get these accents for the adding elements to the cards. Clouds, rainbows, tags, clear tags...

and lastly you get a little spool of rope. This is a great way to get into card making because it has all the things to make it. It is a great subscription and has a lot of different options that helps with your budget. I love the Paper Pumpkin because it helps when I am missing inspiration.

May Card Chain

This was my May card chain card. I did something a little different, instead of doing just a cut out and stick it on the front. I used a sheet that was the length of the card front and back putting it on the whole piece and then folding it. I used Animal Outing Stamp set to make the animals.

Special Present

My friend Caitlin wanted a present for her girl cave. I was thinking of what to make and this is what I came up with. I didn't make a card I made a kind of picture. I added a note to the back for her.

Thank you

During these trying times I have had to deal with my store closing for 6 weeks. Then having to open back up with completely different set up and routines. Then even more protocols to keep everyone and our customers safe. My manager has been so supportive of everyone, making sure we got the information that we needed and staying safe. Making coming back to work just that much easier. So I decided to use my new daisy bundle to make her a thank you card for all the work she's doing. It was really nice when she told me that I should sell my cards.

Be Happy

A card I had done for a friend. She sells MaryKay and needed some cards. I cut the lipsticks out of the Dressed to Impress paper and used a dies of a streamer to make the scales on the edge and "Don't Worry be" is put together in individual letters. The background is paper from the Magnolia designer series. My cards always seem so simple to me but I thought this one came out really nice.

Paper Pumpkin April

This is some of paper pumpkin cards I made from the April. This is an easy and fun way to get into card making if you aren't sure where to start. It gives you step by step on how to make the designs. You can also deviate and make slight variations of the designs. It is really easy and super fun when you aren't feeling creative. It is a monthly subscription with different options that fit your budget.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day is coming up on Sunday. Everyday should be mother appreciation day and there shouldn't be a designated day to make you dote on your mom. My mom is the best. Always there, always full of fun anecdotes about anything. Full of advice and always taking care of everyone else. The four of us were most likely a giant pain in the ass all the time and it was just the 5 of us. My mom always did the best for us and taught me to be strong and be able to take care of myself without anyone's help. She also taught me how to cook and care about everyone else. Everyday I realize that I am more like my mama everyday. I love you mama!

Father in Laws Birthday

My Father in Laws birthday was a week or so ago. I did miss his birthday but I made it for him a little late and sent it out the following week. I folded the front of the card in half and extended an addition to the front. The cake I probably made the hard way but I stamped it all together and very carefully cut it out. The candles were extremely hard.
