Beautifully Happy Weekend!

We are ending this week with a colored in flower and split DSP. I used Pear Pizzazz base measuring 11 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches scored at 5 1/2 inches. The first layer is Pear Pizzazz measuring 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches with 2 Country Gingham DSP measuring 4 x 2 inches. I used the Loose Daisy embellishments on the corners, I adhered them with glue dots. I glued down and fussy cut the flower out and colored it in Old Olive, Polished Pink, Highland Heather, and Blackberry Bliss. The inside layers are Pear Pizzazz and Basic White measuring 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches and 4 x 5 1/4 inches respectively. It's inked in Momento to make it simple.

Happy Flowers Wednesday!

Today was a little more involved. I used Pool Party for the base and Basic White. The DSP is from Country Gingham. Base is standard 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches scored at 4 1/4 inches. The first layer is Pool Party that is 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches and the Basic White layer is 4 x 5 1/4 inches. The DSP is 4 x 1 1/8 inches. I used Momento to stamp most of it then filled in the flowers with stamped off Garden Green and stamped off Daffodil Delight. Inside the layers are the same as on front, Pool Party and Basic White with DSP measuring 4 x 1/2 inch.

Again my card came out simple but I think using the filler stamps gives the cards a little extra something. I also used a couple gem embellishments to make the card feel more fun. When crafting you don't have to make it complicated. When I try to make a super detailed card it still comes out looking simple. I think the card still had something. With the inside I just really liked the little bee. Come back on Friday for the end of the week cards and I am going to try and make a much more detailed card.

Happy Flowers Monday!

This week is Beautifully Happy. Simple and elegant cards. I'm going to try and make them more involved as the week goes on. This card is in Real Red and Basic White with a piece of DSP from Country Gingham 6 x 6 inches. Standard measurements base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches scored at 4 1/4 inches. The DSP layer is 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches. The Basic White layer is only 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches. Everything is stamped in Momento and all the stamps are from the Beautifully Happy set you can get from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. I used embellishments and red ribbon from the Country Bouquet Suite in the mini catalog. All just simply glued together as even as possible and used glue dots to put on the bow and embellishments. The inside layers are Real Red measuring 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches and the Basic White layer is 4 x 5 1/4 inches.

I can't wait to show you more of what you can do with this set this week and the color combos that you can use. This set can make such elegant cards with so many happy sentiments. Happy Monday! Contact me, I make cards as well for many occasions for prices and what I can do. Have a great week!

Last 2 Sea Turtle Cards

This card is a base of Pear Pizzazz measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches scored at 4 1/4 inches. Layers of Pear Pizzazz measuring 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 and a layer of Basic White measuring 4 x 5 1/4 inches. The back layer of the DSP is 1/8 inch larger than the DSP which is 1 5/8 x 3 inches. I popped it up on dimensionals. The "Thanks" is stamped in Momento from the Thanks a Bunch stamp set. The inside layers are the same measurements and colors as the ones on the front. I stamped the starfish in Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz on the reversible stamps. "a bunch" is from the Thanks a Bunch set and stamped in Momento.

This card was fun to make. It's a card of Basic White in the standard measurements in landscape. The little squares are 1 x 1 inch and the Basic White squares on the back of the DSP are 1 1/8 x 1 1/8 inch. Then I popped the squares up on dimensionals. On the top layer that is 5 1/4 x 4 inches, I used the Loveliest Layers Decorative Masks to make the background. I brushed on Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz. The inside layers are the same as the front just like the other card and I stamped the reversible turtle for the inside. The "Love you" is from the Thanks a Bunch set and stamped in Momento.

More One Piece Cards

I am continuing with my cards with the one piece of DSP. I had a busy afternoon on Tuesday so I am late with these cards. This first card is a Basic White base with an embossed layer of Pear Pizzazz. The DSP is still the By the Bay 6 x 6 piece. The base is 4 1/4 x 11 inches scored at 5 1/2 inches. There is a Basic White layer that is 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches and the embossed Pear Pizzazz layer is 4 x 5 1/4 inches. I embossed the layer using the Raindrops embossing folder. The DSP pieces are 1 1/2 x 2 1/4 inches backed with a piece Basic White that is 2 3/8 x 1 5/8 inches. These are then popped up on dimensionals. The inside layers are Pear Pizzazz measuring 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches and the Basic White layer is 4 x 5 1/4 inches.

I stamped the "Hello" in Momento from the Warm Welcome set. The bubbles are from the Sea Turtle set. All the stamps in the set are reversible. So one side is a solid outline of the image and then the other side is detail. I stamped in Pool Party for the background and then the detail is in Pear Pizzazz. I am not going to lie I had a hard time getting the images to align. But after I stamped it and it wasn't perfect I really liked it. I will have to play with it more to see if I can get the sides to align.

The second card of the day has a base of Pool Party that measures 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches scored at 4 1/4 inches. The first layer of Pool Party is 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches. The embossed layer is Pear Pizzazz and measures 4 x 5 1/4 inches. I used the Raindrops embossing folder again from the Playing in the Rain Suite. The DSP pieces are 1 x 1 1/2 inches backed with a piece of Pool Party measuring 1 1/8 x 1 5/8 inches. The little rectangles are popped up on dimensionals and the embossed layer is glued down because you don't want seal to smoosh the embossed image. The inside layers are Pear Pizzazz and Basic White and are the same measurements as the card above.

I stamped the starfish and fish from the Sea Turtle set in Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz. I used both sides of the starfish but only the detail side for the fish. The sentiment is from the Warm Welcome set and stamped in Momento.

Sea Turtle Monday

This week I am using the Sea Turtle set and the By the Bay DSP. This card is in Basic White and Pear Pizzazz cardstock. The turtle is stamped in Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz. The cool thing about this card is the stamps in this set are reversible. One side will be the outline and the other side is the details. Also this week I am going to be using 1 sheet of 6 x 6 DSP and am making 6 different cards.

This card is a Basic White base that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 inches. The Pear Pizzazz layer is 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 inches. The DSP is 2 x 3 inches, there is a Basic White layer that is 2 1/8 x 3 1/8 inches. Then it is popped up on dimensionals. I stamped the "Hello" in Momento from the Warm Welcome stamp set. The inside layers are Pear Pizzazz measuring 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 inches and the Basic White layer measures 5 1/4 x 4 inches. I glued all the layers on and using glue on Basic White is a risk of seeing the glue underneath the cardstock. I ran out of seal so I had to use glue.

This is the second card I made with 1 piece of DSP. The card base is Pool Party 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches scored at 4 1/4 inches. It has 1 layer of Basic White that is 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 inches. The DSP layer is 3 x 3 inches with a Pool Party layer behind it that is 1/8 larger on every end. This layer is popped up on dimensionals. The "Welcome" is stamped in Momento from the Warm Welcome set. The inside is a layer of Pool Party that is 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 inches and a layer of Basic White that is 5 1/4 x 4 inches. The larger turtle from the set is stamped in Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz.

Two simple cards using 1 piece of DSP. Later in the week I will have the other 4 cards for this set. I love turtles, they are my favorite. I am so excited to use this set with this idea of 1 6 x 6 DSP sheet to make 6 different cards. Ending the Week Right Before Valentine's Day

This week I used the Country Bouquet Suite. Very simple cards but elegant for anyone you love on Valentine's Day. I used Pool Party and Shimmery White cardstock. The DSP is the Country Floral Lane that comes with the suite. I only used 1 piece. I also used the Loose Daisy embellishments with a Pool Party ribbon bow. I punched out the hearts with the heart punch that comes with the set in Shimmery White. It punches out a big heart, little heart and leaves. I brushed on some Pool Party to give them a little color and stamped with Pool Party. Then glued them the way I wanted them and put them up on dimensionals. The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches scored at 4 1/4 inches. The first Pool Party layer is 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 inches and the DSP layer is 5 1/4 x 4 inches. The inside layers are the same dimensions as the front. The little hearts on the inside are stamped in Just Jade.

This card is Blushing Bride, Pool Party, and Shimmery White cardstock. The base of Blushing Bride is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches scored at 4 1/4 inches. The first two layers are 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches and 4 x 5 1/4 inches. The inside layers are the same dimensions. The heart stamped on the front is two different stamps that come in the set, the flowers are stamped in Fresh Freesia twice and the leaves are stamped in Just Jade. The words are stamped in Pool Party and the hearts on the inside are Fresh Freesia. DSP on the front is 4 inches long and I just cut them to make the image equidistant on top and bottom. My cards always come out really simple but I really like these two cards.

Valentine's Day Country Bouquet

I made another card with the Country Bouquet stamps. The card pieces are from a make and take that I received for an event that I was at. The base is in Blushing Bride and measures 4 1/4 x 11 inches scored at 5 1/2 inches. The Basic White pieces are 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 inches and the top one is 3 3/4 x 5 inches. The inside layers are the same dimensions. The inside DSP layer is 3 3/4 x 7/16 inches and the silver piece is 3 3/4 x 1/4 inches.

I stamped in Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz. The bow is Pale Papaya. The heart on the front is 2 stamps that come in the stamp set. Since the stamps are polymer they are pretty easy to eye the placement of lining up the stamps. This is a super simple card and only 2 colors.

Country Bouquet

Someone is ready to Stamp with me. This week we are playing with the Country Bouquet Suite. I'm sorry to say that this suite is on the low inventory list. Valentine's Day is next week so I did want to make some Valentine's Day cards. Personally I don't really celebrate the holiday but the cards are pretty. I also was really excited to use this set because this set can make really pretty anniversary cards or just tell someone that you love them. This week I had a little helper.

My daughter was all set to help make a card with this set. I used a make and take set that I received. I decided to substitute this set for the card.

The cardstock is Blushing Bride, Basic White and Shimmery White. The silver scallops on the front is a die from the Penned Flowers dies. The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches scored at 4 1/4 inches. The Basic White layers are 5 x 3 3/4 inches and 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 inches. The DSP layer is 4 3/4 x 1 1/4 inches. The silver scallop was cut to the size of the paper, you'll have to trim a little of it off. I embossed the double heart stamp and the outline heart in silver embossing powder. I used the punch that comes with the set to cut the hearts out. You have to be careful when you stamp then cut them out because the punch has leaves on the sides that will cut off the image if you want to stamp more than 1 at a time. I then glued them together the way I wanted them and put them up on dimensionals. Then I embossed a sentiment with silver and put it on the open space to break up all the white.

The inside layers are 5 1/8 x 3 7/8 inches and 4 7/8 x 3 5/8 inches. The DSP is 4 7/8 x 1/4 inch the silver piece is the same dimensions and then I took the little hearts from the set and stamped them in blushing bride.

All the Queens

I am ending the week with one more involved card and one simple card. I saw this technique used on another card by another Demonstrator. This card looks simple but the only involved part is the fence that I made on the front of the card. It's a basic white layer 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches scored at 4 1/4 inches. The first layer is 1/8 of an inch shorter on every side and the DSP is 4 x 5 1/4 inches. The fence is 4 1/8 x 1/2 inch and the two horizontal pieces are 3/4 x 5 3/8 inches. I used Basic White in my double oval punch for the sentiment. I blended on some Highland Heather so it wouldn't be so stark white against all the other white. The bee has Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Seaside Spray, Real Red and Polished Pink. I just added some gems for embellishment on the ovals. You can use whatever embellishment you have. The inside layers are the same as the layers on the front.

This card is so simple. There is nothing to it. The base and layers are the same as above. The base is Old Olive along with the first layer and the inside layers are also Old Olive and Basic White. "Happy Birthday" is stamped on a piece of Basic White that is 3 x 1 3/4 inches. I stamped both cards in Momento and the little flowers on this card are in Highland Heather. I also blended Highland Heather onto the Basic White on the front for a little detail.

Come back next week to see what stamp set I'll be using.
