Mother/ Daughter Project Day 9 Beautiful Balloons

 Day 9

These cards didn't really come out of a design from my mom. I picked the PDF I wanted to use, then picked the cardstock, DSP, and stamp set. These are the cards that came from choosing these products. I used Shimmery White, Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, and Basic White cardstock. Then I decided to use the Gold Celebrations Specialty DSP, there are two sides, gold, and silver, and I chose to use the polka dots. I used Polished Pink, Fresh Fresia, Daffodil Delight (stamped off), and Momento ink.

For the first card, I wasn't really sure what I was going to do. Seethrough paper is hard to use, also the DSP isn't paper it's like flexible plastic and pretty thick. I cut the base to be 11 x 4 1/4 and scored it at 5 1/2. The first layer of cardstock is the same measurements 5 1/8 x 4. I have discovered with Vellum and DSP like this glue dots are the easiest to use. It sticks well and you can't see it. The balloons I fussy cut out instead of using the coordinating dies and twine for the string of the balloon. Also used glue dots to keep the string in place.

For my second card, I really wasn't sure what I was going to do. I thought I was going to do more but instead of using a color cardstock, I used Shimmery White, a matte layer of Tahitian Tide, and then stamped a party decoration scene. Since the DSP is seethrough I used the silver side this time and just placed it on top. As I looked at it after I put it all together I didn't think it needed more than that. The sentiment belonged on the inside and I just added a little confetti.

Both of these cards were really simple and what I came up with. I really like this balloon set. It is always fun and festive. As always my cards are for sale. you can contact me: asciolla.emma@gmail.com

Mother/ Daughter Project Day 8 Apple Harvest

 Day 8

I was feeling a bit Fall today. I decided to use the Apple Harvest stamp set with Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, and Basic White cardstock. I used an old retired DSP for these cards, 1 piece both sides. I kept the basic design again for these cards, they were very simple but I had to change a couple things because I didn't have the products.

For the first card, I kept it really simple, just layered it up, and used the Deckled Rectangles for the centerpiece. I used the "Thanks for your Kindness" sentiment, mostly because it was the only one that fit. Then I stamped and color the apple because when you are nice to a teacher you bring them an apple. 😊 I just stamped a few flowers on the inside and I really like the hatch work stamp.

For the second card, I kept the design but I used the old paper embossing folder for the Basic White layer. I used the matte layer of the DSP because it looked best with the Old Olive and the little bit of Daffodil Delight cardstock. I stamped the branch of apples and added the small flowers to fill in the white space. I colored the images in Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Flirty Flamingo, Crushed Curry, Crumb Cake, and Pale Papaya. For the inside, I kept it simple and glued a piece of DSP to the cardstock.

These cards were easy and fun. I enjoyed the fall feel because I am not enjoying the summer weather. My cards are always for sale and I will make personal cards as well. Contact me: asciolla.emma@gmail.com

Mother/ Daughter Project Day 7 Irresistible Blooms

 Day 7

Today I am playing with the Irresistible Blooms stamp set. I had the set for these cards but I decided to not use it. I used Very Vanilla (my favorite cardstock), Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, and Petal Pink. I had the DSP that goes with this set, Hello, Irresistible 6x6.

On the first card, I kept the base of the card design the same, base, matte layer, and DSP (2 designs). The sentiment is backed with a die from the Irresistible Blooms set (2 pieces in 2 colors), then I punched a piece of DSP and Very Vanilla with my 2 3/8" and 2" punches. I glued down the decorative circles and then popped up the sentiment. The card still needed a little something so I added some embellishments, butterflies, and gems. The inside is just a simple matte and Very Vanilla layer stamped with a flower.

The second card is very close to the same design but I had to change the embossing folder and the dies used because I didn't have the ones used. I used the Playing in the Rain embossing folder for the background and the deckled rectangles die. I thought the DSP for the matte layer of the sentiment looked really nice. Then the front needed some gems and a bow. Again I kept the inside really simple.

These cards were easy and fun to make. The colors were awesome together and the DSP that goes with this stamp set was the perfect color match. My cards are always for sale and I will make personal cards for you as well. You can contact me: asciolla.emma@gmail.com

Mother/ Daughter Project Day 6 Let's Go Shopping

Day 6

Today we are playing with the Let's Go Shopping stamp set. I kept to the basic design of the cards I drew inspiration from with some changes. I used Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, and Very Vanilla cardstock. Then I found DSP that matched my color scheme for these cards. I don't know the names of them. ,

This first card is a fun fold card, not the typical card dimensions. Base of the card is in Crumb Cake. I used the Deckled Rectangles Dies for stamped rectangles. I stamped everything is Early Espresso. The stamps for this set are photopolymer and even if you clean off the stamp every time you use it the Early Espresso leaves a red tint on the stamp. I colored in various colors using the blends and Stampin' write markers. I added some champagne embellishments to give it a little sparkle. The Very Vanilla cardstock on the inside is embossed with the Painted Texture embossing folder. All the pieces were just glued down. This card was fun and I really like this set.

This second card is the typical card base in Early Espresso. The DSP for this card is so pretty and the gold shimmer worked so well with the colors I used. For the sentiment I used the Deckled Rectangles again then glued it to the front. The stamped shoppe I colored in various blends and Stampin' write markers then popped it up on dimensionals. Used more champagne gemstones for a little extra sparkle. The inside is just stamped with flower pots and the chair and table stamp. Both of these cards are simple, the only "time consuming" part is the coloring.

I hope you like my cards today. My cards are always for sale and I will make special personal cards also. You can contact me by email: asciolla.emma@gmail.com

Day 5 Mother/ Daughter Project Friendship Royalty

 Day 5

Today I was focusing on DSP and used the Friendship Royalty stamp set. I used the Dandy Design DSP, 1 piece for each card and both sides. For the cardstock, I used Blushing Bride and Purple Posey (which is retired), Very Vanilla, and Basic White.

For the first card, I used Blushing Bride for the card base since I was using purple for the DSP. The ribbon is Bubble Bath. I embossed the wand and the sparkles in silver embossing powder. I glued down the first 2 layers and then the 3 vertical layers popped up. The inside is just stamped in Fresh Fresia.

For this second card, I was really excited about using the crown. I used the Purple Posey for the base. I again glued down the first layers and popped up the centerpiece. I embossed the crown in silver, fussy cut it out, and glued it down. It's a simple front with a few embellishments and a Bubble bath ribbon. The inside sentiment is just stamped in Fresh Fresia. So lovely and simple.

All of my cards are for sale or I will make personal cards for you. You can contact me by email: asciolla.emma@gmail.com

Mother/ Daughter Day 4 Just my Type of Science

Day 4

Today is a fun change. I had the set for these cards but I decided that I wasn't going to use them and do a lot of change. This first card is a mini card on a postcard. I used the Just My Type stamp set and DSP from the Day at the Farm set. The typewriter is a separate stamp from the piece of paper and the "Thank you". All three are separate stamps. For the inside I used my Stampin Write markers to make the rainbow and I love that this set has a tiny little paperclip.

The second card I used was the It's a Science stamp set. This card is the opposite of the first one. The base is a card with a popped-up little postcard. The little clipboard and the sentiment are two different stamps and the flask is part of a larger stamp. My husband is a cancer researcher, and I got this set for that reason. Both cards are really simple and I only used the basic measurements and design. I changed the colors, DSP, and stamp sets.

I sell my cards and make them to order!

Mother/ Daughter Project Day 3 Bird's Eye View

Day 3

Today we are playing with my new Bird's Eye View stamp set. The PDF I was getting inspiration from was all about the birds. I copied the house look of the first card. I didn't have the set that was used so I made a bunch of changes. I used Very Vanilla, Misty Moonlight, and Slate Gray. I used a die from the Beautiful Balloons die set, and a die from Irresistible Bloom die set, I did measure when I cut off the corners and they are not even. The inside you can see it better but I like how they turned out. When something doesn't come out the way you imagined or as perfect as you wanted, sometimes it still works. The inside layer pieces weren't as perfect as I wanted but they ended up looking really good.

This next card was very similar to the original. I changed up some colors on both cards but this one, I used a different embossing folder, Old Paper. I thought the twine rope-looking ribbon would look so nice with the colors of the card. The DSP is from the Day at the Farm. I used the same colors in this card, and just used the die from the Irresistible Blooms die set. That circle die was to give the front a little more depth. This was a super simple card but I think it's so cute, these little birds are so cute. The sentiment on both cards is from Apple Harvest, the Bird's Eye View doesn't have any sentiments.

Getting inspiration from someone else is always a good place to start and my Mom is a perfect person to get inspired by.

Mother/ Daughter Day 2 Tropical Leaf

Day 2

Good Morning, today I am using the Tropical Leaf stamp set. The layout of these cards is very similar to what my mom had done but I changed colors, pieces used, and DSP. I also added some embellishments to the cards. These cards were relatively easy to keep to the design. I just decided to change the papers and colors to bring in a little variety.

For the first card, the layout is the same and I did the same technique for the 3 panels in the middle but I used different ink colors. The card stock is Soft Succulent and Very Vanilla. The ink is Soft Succulent, with Pear Pizzazz, and Early Espresso. I just used a different DSP that looked nice with the cardstock. I didn't have the leaves that were behind the sentiment so I used dies from the Flowers of Home. Inside I changed the inside completely because I didn't have the die used so I just stamped some leaves.

This card is the closest to the original. The colors and DSP are changed and instead of DSP, I used ribbon for the little strip on the front. I used Evening Everygreen, Soft Succulent, and Very Vanilla cardstock. The ink colors are only Pear Pizzaz, Early Espresso, and Soft Succulent. This card is really simple, layer up the cardstock, glue on the ribbon, and pop up the leaves on dimensionals. The inside is just simply stamped-off leaves.

Happy Crafting! I hope you enjoy my projects.

I will make personalized cards for a good price.

Mother/Daughter Project

Day 1

I wanted to work on a little inspiration and got a little inspired by one of my favorite movies. I am going to craft through my mom's PDFs of cards. I am not going to duplicate the cards but use them as a base. I'm going to use the sets if I have but change the colors and other elements. You'll be able to see the different ideas you can have with stamping. I want to show many ideas and how you can see something and make it your own. I started with Masculine Valentine's Day and made them my own.

I kept the Country Bouquet stamp set and 1 of the Designer Series Paper. I decided to go with a gradient pink-to-yellow metallic designer series paper with a sandpaper texture. I changed the technique on the portrait card. The hearts are clear embossed over blended Very Vanilla cardstock then I used the coordinating punch to punch them out.

For the second card, I kept most of the layout the same. I changed the colors, ribbon, and designer series paper, and reorganized the hearts.

Sometimes all you need is a little inspiration to make the crafting juices flow.
